ABOUT

WHY WE MADE APPRAISAL SCRIBE

from Appraisal Scribe European artwork from the Victorian period

Years ago when I launched my appraisal business, I discovered that producing reports was a lengthy process. Using paper forms to inventory collections and formatting Word documents was cumbersome, requiring tedious tasks such as resizing photos and tables, and copying repetitive content between reports. To solve this issue, my husband, a software engineer, created a cloud-based collaborative system that my business partner and I utilized for more than ten years.

As the years have passed, we observed that while there are a number of appraisal management options for Real Property Appraisers, there were few options for those of us in the Personal Property field. Those that are available prioritize collections management, with appraisal report writing added as an afterthought. To fill this void we launched Appraisal Scribe, a report writer and data management system designed for professional personal property appraisers.
