Appraisal Scribe offers automated features designed to streamline the production of personal property appraisal reports, and reduce errors from manual data entry. Below are some of the key automated functionalities:
Build your own Library of Recurring Content
The Library is your personal database of recurring content that you can easily add to every report. It includes:
Legal Disclosures (cover letter, certification etc...)
Reference Material (sources, glossary)
Artist Biographies
Templates
USPAP Terms & Definitions
You can build your Library incrementally report by report, or you can add content all at once. No more cutting and pasting! Let's add an Approach to Value as an example.
Go to Library in the top navigation bar
Click Approaches to Value tab
Go to the dropdown menu under the ellipse and click the +Create to add an Approach to Value (e.g. Sales Comparison)
Now you can easily add the Approach to Value from a drop-down menu in your Appraisal reports.
When you create a new source in an appraisal, it will automatically be added to your database for future use. This feature not only saves time but also ensures that reports are comprehensive and compliant with industry standards.

2. Substitution Tags
Substitution tags are a powerful feature in Appraisal Scribe that allow users to automate adding appraisal specific content such as client's name and address, date of inspection, report date, intended use into your reports. These tags can be added to any page in a report. Insert a tag such as ClientAddress, EffectiveDate from the Insert dropdown menu in the toolbar. When you click on the yellow highlighted tags, links to the content that you added in the tabs will automatically populate without needing to re-enter or cut and paste.

Other tags like TotalValue and ReportLength and PropertyCount will automatically calculate the total value of the collection, number of pages and number of properties in the report etc.. Substitution tags minimize errors and save time, ensuring consistent and accurate information throughout the report.

By leveraging personal property appraisal software, appraisers can focus more on analysis and client interactions rather than on repetitive tasks.
