This release puts more of the report in your hands. You can now rename and hide fields, relabel report dates, and preview your PDF without leaving the editor. Several of these changes came straight from customer requests.

Customize the property form to fit the collection

The new Customize Field Labels editor lets you rename or hide any field on the Property page. Every collection is different, and now your form can be too.

You can customize the form by renaming or hiding fields that don't apply to a collection. Appraising silver? Rename Edition to Weight (troy oz) and Artist/Maker to Silversmith/Maker. Cataloging a household? Change Location to Room.

Relabel your report dates

On the Overview page, you can also rename the four report dates: Date of Loss, Inspection Date, Effective Date, and Report Date. One customer asked us to change Inspection Date to Examination Date. You can now make that change yourself, appraisal by appraisal.

Your custom labels carry through to the final PDF.

Edit and preview on one screen

The report editor now has two tabs. Edit (pencil icon) opens the report table. Preview (eye icon) shows your live PDF without switching screens.

In Preview, choose Property, Collection, Collection Summary, or Appraisal to see that PDF output. Do you like to print a hard copy to review? You can also preview a report without images to save color ink.

More room to work

  • Clear sort order. The collection page now shows the sort order in the column header, with arrows marking the direction.

  • Collapsible sidebar. Hide the appraisal sidebar when you need more space, and reopen it with one click.

Smaller fixes and polish

  • Types of Value settings have moved, and the description now explains when you would add more than one value type.

  • Browser zoom and Page Up/Page Down now work as expected.
